Resignation of Trustee Christopher W. Woods Opens Area 3 Trustee Position

At its January 19 meeting, the Sacramento County Board of Education approved Board Resolution 10-02 ordering an election to fill the board seat vacancy created when Trustee Christopher W. Woods resigned from his Area 3 post effective January 11, 2010.

Mr. Woods had served on the Board since 2002, having previously served as Board Vice-President and President. His term was scheduled to expire in June 2010. He moved out of the trustee area he represented.

The Area 3 seat will be filled at the regularly scheduled election on June 8, 2010.

Trustee Area 3 represents the following communities: Arden, Arden Oaks, Arden Park, Campus Commons, La Riviera, Rosemont, Town and Country Village, and portions of Carmichael and Foothill Farms. Area 3 also represents portions of the Sacramento City Unified School District, the San Juan Unified School District, and the Twin Rivers Unified School District.
